Some of my members may be wondering why I created HideGodsWord.com. It all started 15 years ago, I was a freshman in high school, and was assigned to read Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. In this futuristic science fiction book we learn of a society where creative thought is no longer considered acceptable. Books and reading are outlawed and firemen go around burning down the houses of citizens who have hidden books in their homes. Eventually the main character Guy Montag, a firemen himself, starts hiding books in his own house. After being turned in for hiding books he flees the authorities and joins a secret society of outlaws who have hidden famous works of literature in their minds. During his escape he manages to memorize part of the Bible with the hope to one day rewrite it. Fahrenheit 451 is a powerful predictive book of what America could look like if the minds of its citizens continue to be dulled by television and media.
The ideas in the book led to the creation of HideGodsWord.com, Gods Word is so important that we must keep it hidden in our hearts just like Guy Montag. I constructed this website to inspire and motivate the global community of believers in Jesus Christ to take it upon themselves to memorize the Bible. I know that together we can memorize the entire bible.

Why do so many Christians fold God up and put Him into the evolutionary box? Some Christians give scientist more credibility than they give God. If what the Bible says happened during creation happens to disagree with the current scientific theory then they believe the current scientific theory.
When evaluating a theory shouldn’t we first consider what God said and see if this new theory lines up with what God said before we try and make God fit within the limits set by scientists?
Isn’t it curious that time after time new evidence is found that proves the scientist wrong. How many times is this going to happen before it becomes clear to people that God is never wrong. Is not God the ultimate scientist? Don’t make the mistake of believing the creation over the Creator!

Cell theory, a cornerstone of biology, says that all organisms are made of cells and that all cells come from pre-existing cells. If all cells come from pre-existing cells then where did the first cell come from? Nearly 350 years have passed since this theory was hypothesized and still it stands, there is no example of life ever being created outside of another living cell.
Evolutionists believe in cell theory because there is no exception to the theory, in fact it should be a scientific law. If life did in fact come from a chemical mistake millions of years ago why can’t scientist with all the modern technology at their disposal create life in a petri dish? They expect us to believe that all the correct chemicals came together at just the right time, temperature, environmental conditions and then spontaneously created life. If this is true why can’t they reproduce life again in a laboratory where all these variables can be strictly controlled?
One critical part of science is the reproducibility of an experiment but the creation of life can’t be reproduced by man? Some things fall outside the realm of science, the origin of man is one of these things. If you can’t test it, reproduce it, view it or detect it in any way then science has no business theorizing about it.
God was there on the day of Creation, he saw what he created and said that it was good.
“And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.” Genesis 1:25

I was watching a brain tumor removal surgery on KERA the other night and was amazed. The patient laid there awake with his brain exposed and pulsing at each heart beat. The doctor used a suction tool to remove the tumor and explained that normal brain tissue is the consistency of fine cream cheese. He said that it takes trillions of brain cells all working in tandem for a person to talk. He continued by saying that he knows thought happens in the brain but he can’t understand how.
Our God is amazing, He alone created us in all our complexities. Our existence on this earth is not an accident and could never come about randomly. ”God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” (Genesis 1:27)

Evolution - Different from everything we have ever experienced in the world. From simple to complex, from lesser concentration to greater, from disorganized to organized.
Does the theory of evolution seem backwards to anyone else besides me? Stop and think about the physical world for a second, how many times have you seen things get more complex more organized as time goes on? Don’t things in the world seem to break down over time, don’t things end up less organized than they started?
I challenge you to investigate a specific subject: it does not matter what subject, it could be anything - grass, ants, water, human skin, the brain, oxygen exchange, earths position and speed. It does not matter what you choose but I guarantee you will find more complexity, more beauty and more design than you ever dreamed possible. Things we come in contact with daily contain elements that are infinitely complex. So complex that no rational person would conclude it happened by chance, they could only be created by a designer.
Albert Einstein said “There are two ways to live your life - one is as though nothing is a miracle, the other is as though everything is a miracle.”.
Biology, astrology and chemistry are too complex to come about by chance. A designer must be responsible, everything points to Him, “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:” (Romans 1:20). God created this universe and everything in it, he did it in 6 days and on the 7th he rested. He tells the story in his Book because He was there - how can anyone not see?

Jesus said “If you love me, keep my commandments.” (John 14:15), so why don’t we? I know what you are thinking: “I do love Jesus and I do keep His commandments.” To this I say, What are His commandments? How do you keep them?
There is no mystery to solve, no life long quest that we must endure to find the answer to this question. The answer is right under our face, Jesus told us directly saying “‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”(Matthew 22:37-39) . So we are commanded to love.
It seems pretty easy to love God. He is our creator, he deserves our love, He is love. John said “We love Him, because he first loved us. (1 John 4:19).
Now for the hard part “love your neighbor as yourself”. Do we really love our neighbor as ourselves? Do we put stranger’s needs in front of our own needs? Do we love our neighbor so much that we give our own life to save theirs? Hardly, some won’t part with $1.00 much less their own life for a stranger. If we truly loved our neighbor wouldn’t we share the news of Christ continually without ceasing? Wouldn’t we be considered freaks to this world, strangers in a foreign land?
The ultimate question is are we living our lives for Jesus, are we following his commandments. Do we stand out from a crowd as followers of Christ, lovers of all or do we blend in with the rest. How else can we show Jesus our love for him except the way he instructed: through loving God first and our neighbor as ourselves second?

How is it that we have been given Gods Word and can so easily ignore it? How is it that in some parts of the world people are sacrificing their lives to spread the Word of God but in our cozy country we can let is collect dust on the night stand? Why do we have over 20 English translations that we ignore while nations around the world wait for a first translation.
I don’t understand how we start out as a nation teaching our children to read just for the purpose of reading the Bible and slowly become a nation of non-readers. A slow progression has taken us from readers of the Bible to ignorers of it.
Gods word is flawless (Proverbs 30:5) , living and active (Hebrews 4:12); he has given it to us as a way to learn about who He is and why we are here. Yet many of us continue to run around looking for answers that we could so easily find if we would simply look.
He created us with a purpose and that purpose is clearly stated in the Bible if we would just take the time to read it and get to know our Creator.

When does life start? Why is abortion not 1st degree murder in the United States? I believe that life has to start at the instant that a sperm joins with an egg. Lets consider what other times life could start.
Life starting before the sperm joins with the egg does not seem likely, I think we are all in agreement that no new life has been formed before the unique genetic traits from each parent have even joined together. Now lets consider that life is created some time after the egg and sperm join. That would lead us to believe that living tissue grows in the womb and then one day spontaneously comes to life. How could this be? How does the fetus grow if it is not in fact alive - when adults are no longer alive they don’t continue to grow. Human are either alive or they are dead - our bodes instantly stop functioning when life leaves our bodies. The only logical place for life to start in when the DNA from the sperm joins with the egg.
Babies are formed in the womb by God, he breaths life into them. He is the creator of all life and when we take that life from anyone even our own unborn children it is murder.

I just had the best peach in my life and it makes me think about Adam and Eve - they lived in a perfect garden created for
them by our God. The sweetness and flavor of a freshly grown fruit that is allowed to ripen on a tree is unbelievable. Most Americans don’t ever get to experience fruit the way God intended for us to. Farmers are forced to pick the fruit green before all the natural sugars form in order to get the fruit to market before it spoils. Even in the perfect world of the Garden of Eden man fell - from all the wonderful trees to eat from they choose to eat from the forbidden one. We are no different than Adam and Eve were - God has blessed us and given us wonderful things in the world. Lets stop focusing on what we are not allowed to do and start focusing on all the wonderful things that God has done for us.
Thank you God for your grace.
